RESPONSIBILITIES:

Main point of contact for all DOT & CHP audits

Oversee maintenance of driver qualification files and renewal documentation to ensure compliance with D.O.T. regulations

Complete weekly, monthly and quarterly safety reporting

Collaborate with Operations personnel to further safety initiatives

Manage insurance claim process

Implement and manage driver safety program

Assist other departments within the company by providing technical input and insight into regulatory requirements

Identify training needs and conduct proactive safety related training

Administer discipline for safety related violations

Develop and manage process for Driver Log audit and corrections

Member of electronic log implementation

Other duties assigned by management 

COMPETENCIES:

Maintain a working knowledge of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR)

Excellent organizational skills and proficiency in personal computer tasks are required, along with superior written and verbal communication skills.

At least 2 years related experience in management capacity

High level of proficiency in procedures, policies, methodology, and instruction
Knowledge of Federal and State traffic laws and requirements for tractor/trailer equipment

Proven leadership and project management skills

Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner

Ability to work independently and be detail oriented

Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
