Position: Construction Project Superintendent (Chicago area)

Position:
Our growing business is seeking a fulltime Construction Project Superintendent to oversee all phases of construction projects.
Primary Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Ensuring that all projects are performed in accordance with the contract deliverables
- Scheduling and coordinating the project activities and ensuring that the costs, schedules, and overall quality are up to the required standards
- Acting in a proactive way to assure that the project schedule is on track and show initiative to find solutions for any discrepancies that may arise
- Have good overview of all subcontractor scope of work, drawings, and specifications
- Use the project management checklist and insure a timely and proper Quality Control and Quality Assurance implementation of the milestones
- Schedule contractors and coordinate their schedules between various projects
- Assist contractors in problem solving
- If plans need to be modified in order to meet new requirements, direct designers, engineers and contractors as needed
- Develop and complete "punch list" items
- Coordinate all site inspections
- Order, monitor and coordinate materials deliveries
- Review invoices for accuracy before submitting for payment
- Communicate with clients through all phases of construction, updating them with progress and addressing any questions or concerns, ultimately meeting and exceeding their expectations.
Requirements:
· Proven and solid understanding of construction in general and project planning in particular
· Minimum 2 years' experience preferred
· Excellent communication skills and attitude to handle our existing clientele
· Excellent organizational skills, ability to plan, execute and deliver projects in time and with top quality
· Must be able to handle 1 to 3 projects simultaneously
· Impeccable attention to detail
· Good computer skills
· Ability to be professional and demonstrate good judgment at all times
· Solid math skills needed for costing, ordering, estimating, measuring, etc.
· Ability to work with minimal supervision
· Must have own transportation in order to visit job sites
· Must be flexible with the schedule including evenings and weekends
